The Ford Escape is a great vehicle that our highly trained staff at Red Rock Ford love to talk about with our community! The Escape is a great SUV if you want something that has the flexibility to travel well with many passengers or with all of the rear seats down to haul plenty of cargo! Regardless of where you go in the Escape, there are plenty of amenities to make it very comfortable.
Capability
The capability features for the Ford Escape start with the lineup for engines and powertrains. Consider the Escape to get the capability features that are important to you! The first engine option is the 1.5-liter EcoBoost with automatic start/stop technology! This technology allows your vehicle to turn off at a stop and then restart when your foot transfers from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal, lowing fuel use.
There is also the available 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, which also has auto start/stop technology. Enjoy the ability to tow with the Class II towing package. This package offers towing capability for the Ford Escape up to 3,500 lbs.
The Hybrid 2.5 Atkinson-cycle powertrain has an eCVT transmission, and the motor is 96 kW. The battery is small and convenient so that it doesn't take up cargo space. There is also an electric engine that is plug-in and works great for driving around town.
Once you decide which battery and powertrain you want in your Ford Escape, you can determine if you want the available all-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is not available in the plug-in version, but if you choose a different trim level, you can enjoy the ability to drive an SUV that handles well on more rugged trails.
The Ford Escape also has drive modes to select to determine how you want the SUV to handle. There is a mode for deep snow/sand and an eco-mode, or use the sport mode to accelerate quickly!
Enjoy the cold weather package during cold days, which includes headed front-row seating, side-view mirrors with heat, and a remote start system. Also, there is automatic temperature control with this package and a heated steering wheel!
Towing capability is determined by the engine you decide you want with your Ford Escape. For the 2.0-liter engine, you can tow up to 3,500 lbs., while you can tow up to 1,500 with the Hybrid engines.
Technology
The technology package with the Ford Escape starts with the Ford Co-Pilot360. This package has much-desired safety technology, such as a blind spot information system. Active Park Assist 2.0 also allows for help parking in perpendicular or parallel parking spots. This is a great feature to use when the parking spot is tight.
There is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster in the Ford Escape that allows you to personalize the look of the information displayed. Also, there is an excellent B&O sound system by Bang and Olufsen, which is great for listening during long vacations with the Escape.
Convenience
One of the convenience features of the Ford Escape is the rotary gear shift dial, which allows for much more room in the front of the vehicle for cups and storage. Also, there are larger bins in the front and a few USB ports.
The hands-free liftgate is a great convenience feature because your food activates it, and you don't have to worry about getting your keys out of your pocket.
Design
If you want a Ford Escape with premium design features, check out the Titanium Elite Package! This package has nickel-painted aluminum wheels, a head-up display, and seats with leather trim.
